The Guild of Certified Feldenkrais Practitioners sets standards for training programs and certification.
Students enter training programs from a wide variety of backgrounds. The training required to be a Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner requires 160 days of training spread over a period of over 3 years. The training programs are usually taught in sessions meeting two or three times per year. The training programs prepare students to teach Awareness Through Movement lessons to groups of people, and to develop a private practice in Functional Integration. Competence and achievement are addressed on an individual basis throughout the duration of the program.
Initial certification is granted by the educational director of a training program after students have passed a supervised clinic. Certification must be maintained through continuing education requirements on a biannual basis.
